Blumarine brought back this key trend from the 2000s

After confirming the return of (very) low-rise jeans last season, Blumarine is once again flying the flag for several trends from the 2000s. For its latest show, Nicola Brognano unveiled a collection embodying the "magnetic, majestic, and powerful" woman, in the spirit of a modern-day Joan of Arc.

As the trends of the 2000s come back in force, Vogue presents the butterfly fashion that is all the rage among Gen Z.

Blumarine's runway shows are full of countless references to the 1990s and 2000s. Along with the cowl necks, the transparent dresses, the stretchy crop tops, the body-con silver and gold mini-dresses, and the oversized bombers, there was another key Y2K trend that made its comeback on the runway.

For 2023, there is only one way to wear pants. They should be military-inspired, a cargo version, or a pair accented with belt straps. The next step is to pair them with a chunky belt, casually slung around the waist, along with a pair of boots to tuck pant hems into. This 2000s trend was originally adopted by celebrities like Paris Hilton and Jennifer Lopez and is yet further proof that fashion has a way of continually reinventing itself.
